» David_Korn - Any Takers?

FACTOID

BOWG: Ticker symbol for Suite101

Price: .21 per share on the bid

Range: 52-week high = $11.00
52-week Low = 14 cents.

Profile: Suite101.com is an Internet company engaged in the creation, operation and maintenance of a world wide web based community, known as Suite101.com. For the nine months ended 9/30/00, revenues fell 2% to $1 thousand. Net loss rose 86% to $1.8 million. Revenues reflect decreased software licensing revenues. Higher loss reflects an increase in the number of Contributing Editors, and marketing activities aimed at increasing brand recognition. Site traffic generated from Free Bob Brinker Discussion Thread expected to significantly add to future revenue growth.

Well, that last line might have been added by me. smile

More rumors circulating about BOWG and the June-July D-Day. Did you folks sell out those $0.20-$0.22 positions you took before the price headed back down to today's $0.20 level?

Kirk, perhaps you ought to be thinking about another home to move your newsletter service and discussion list(s). Have you investigated egroups.com? Just a thought.

Good luck!

» David_Korn - BOWG Annual Report

I am surprised nobody mentioned the annual report filed by BOWG. Reported today in the press at this link:

http://biz.yahoo.com/e/010402/bowg.ob.ht...

Kirk, lots of discussion of how one of the risks they face is they won't be able to retain their $15/month editors. Perhaps you need a raise? Unfortunately, that might take up most of the cash BOWG earned last year.

» Kirk - Annual Report

http://biz.yahoo.com/e/010402/bowg.ob.ht...

Operating expenses increased during the year ended December 31, 2000 to $2,666,021 from $1,687,850 during the year ended December 31, 1999

Other income in 2000 was $378,448 compared with $137,496 in 1999. The increase was primarily the result of interest earned on higher cash balances carried throughout 2000.

Our net loss in 2000 was $2,285,953 compared with a net loss of $1,548,429 in 1999. The increased net loss was the result of our increase in the number of personnel and consultants we employ, the increase in the number of Contributing Editor, increased product development, the increase in our marketing activities and the increased scale of our operations.

Liquidity and Capital Resources

The report of our independent auditors on their audit of our financial statements as of December 31, 2000 contains an explanatory paragraph that describes an uncertainty as to our ability to continue as a going concern due to our recurring losses. In February 2000, we realized gross proceeds of $4.5 million from the exercise of warrants issued in a 1999 private sale of securities. Also in February 2000, we realized gross proceeds of $2.5 million from a private sale of our securities. We also realized gross proceeds of approximately $218,000 from the exercise of stock options and from the exercise of warrants. At December 31, 2000, our cash balance was $5,671,211. We believe these cash resources will be sufficient to meet our ongoing financial commitments through December 31, 2001. During 2001, we intend to expend approximately $350,000 for promotion activities and $200,000 for technical improvements.

Our promissory notes due on June 30, 2000 in the principal amount of $2.5 million issued in the February 2000 private sale of our securities were repaid in April 2000, together with accrued interest. [no debt]

I have no idea about anything in the works. I did read in the materials that arrived last week about hiring a consultant and paying them with stock options. I thought that a good idea. Saves on the cash burn. It maybe this consultant will help find revenue and have a strong incentive to do a good job???? Comments anyone.

Hey Suds, I am sure glad I took profits in March 2000 and bought back many more shares for under four bits so I have nothing else to do but lay back and see what the future holds. If it makes is fine, if not, then I will just share a cold one with you Suds and dream about how things could have been. Remember, if this thing ever gets to 25 that is a call for the biggest reunion that this site has ever seen. Take care

» Kirk - Someone wants some shares

The Bid has been moving higher with the ASK sitting at 22¢

For months, the bid was at 14-16¢ and the ASK was about 20¢.

Yesterday we saw volume at or above 20¢ and now the bid is up to 19¢ with the ask still at 22¢.

This could be interesting...

(I've been accumulating at 20¢, 18¢ and 16.5¢ so a nice run would be nice to see!)

Not a recommendation as I work here and it is my stock pick for the penny stock contest.
