» Kirk - Market Timing with Easan Katir

I am sad to report that the Jorgensens are now promoting market timing. Jim and Easan Katir now manage money and say they get out of the market when it is going down and get back in when it is going up. (They make it sound SO easy!) They will sell you a tape or invite you to a $20 breakfast to learn how they do this (Big surprise, you turn over your money to them to manage, for a fee, and they follow Esian's trading strategy with it)

They are even pumping commercials now for this where they say "get double digit returns nomatter what the market is doing".

What is really funny is just a week or two ago Jim was saying now is a good time to buy but today they said Esian is "mostly in cash".

Last week Jim said " I continue to expect the stock market to start a long-term run-up in the Dow in May or June and bring the Dow Industrials to over 11,000 by late this summer or early fall."

....so why the market timing crap? other than to get fees....

I believe Esian does much jumping in and out of the market so you should expect short term capital gains if you follow this strategy with taxable monies and I think it is FAR too risky to invest your retirement funds this way.
