» KirkL - Welcome to our group Anthony

And a hearty welcome to your many followers that your bring.

I've enjoyed your work on Silicon Investor for some time. Having this discussion at our free site is really exciting! Perhaps you can give an overview for our readers here of your goals for this thread?

Best regards

» Hugs - Too easy. Check out this rocket launch.

Herb Greenberg of thestreet.com smells something more than hanky panky with Net2Phone (NTOP).

Yesterday was the first day that analysts of the three firms that took Net2Phone (NTOP:Nasdaq) public could recommend the stock. Not surprisingly, all of them recommended the stock, and at midday Wednesday the stock had accordingly put in a 66% gain over three days...

...Does anybody care that the analyst for Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown -- an underwriter on the deal -- initiated coverage with a fourth-quarter 2000 price target of 50 to 52? Apparently not, because in the last two days, the number of shares outstanding of Net2Phone has been bought and sold four times. (Calling P.T. Barnum!)

Closed at 70 1/8? Looks like it's flat cruising for a bruising. Wonder if the anal-ists that recommended it have shorted it enough yet or if they're feeling their wheaties and think they can get it higher? Too hot to handle, maybe, but a truly amazing specticle. Stand clear, it looks like a crash and burn (or is it burn and crash?) re-entry when it hits the earth's atmosphere. Or is there some new type of secret heat shield they have?

Hu

P.S. We may be a small group here, but for the most part a wee bit on the savy side of the coin. (But not always on the same side of the boat.)

» TONYBRIG - Front running?

Front running?
Wonder if this fits the definition.
Was any disclosure given or asked for.
Have mentioned this b4 but dont mind repeating it
Should be a rigid rule and penalities if disclosure isnt given!
Almost like stacking the deck and/or being the
house.

» I_ALSO - A@P

I've been lurking on SI since Feb. and made good money on some of your picks, thank you very much. It is sad that SI had to pull a stunt like they did, but since I wasn't going to put up money to join SI and I can't afford your site, I'm glad I found a forum for expressing my thanks. I'll be checking this site periodically and wonder what your move here will mean to the website hit count.

Thanks,

I

PS
I do TRY to monitor the posts and do not allow bad language, but I don't censor the posts, I just move them to an "Idiots that control themselves" topic that shows how silly the poster looks that made the obscene comments. See http://www.suite101.com/discussion.cfm/i...

Send me email if you find a post obscene and I will consider it for moving. Hopefully, we don't have to use this option.
