What incentive is there to learn about techs? To Buffett there are far more undervalued furniture stores, fast food chains, and insurance companies to even consider an overhyped speculative industry like technology companies.Peter Lynch in "One Up on Wall Street" even says the more boring a company is the more likely it is to be undervalued. -- posted by MichaelC_AU » SteveT - Tony A few thoughts about Mr. Buffet. We all have different temperaments and comfort levels. I have heard much attributed to Mr. Buffet, we all have heard it. The one thing that I remember most to paraphrase. Try to use your common sense to figure out future trends and throw you money in front of a trend rather than chase it. In the long run it seems like sound advise-- posted by SteveT » Hugs - Steve The jist of it fits a mental picture, with the exception of the word "throw". I can't imagine Buffet "throwing money" at anything, although "placing" money makes perfect sense.
