» Rande - Bob Brinker's most excellent line about how the American people

Bob Brinker's most excellent line about how the American people can "barely stand the sight of their own President" might well apply to the First Lady as well, her Late Night debut notwithstanding. Too much (white)water under the bridge, perhaps, but I think most have had more than enough of these two and would love nothing better than to be able to, as Jay suggests, fuggedabout them both and move on.

» Kirk - Anyone with a daughter

.... would not want to have Hilary busy playing politics while Bill was free to roam the streets.

The best line was one that was said with body language. Letterman asked about the cat "Boots" and Hilary said she was declawed so she wouldn't ruin the very old historical furniture. Dave then asked about the dog "Buddy" asking "well I guess he has been uh…uh…" and Hilary leaned forward and said "Buddy an….." then she cut it off and they changed the subject or cut to a commercial but I took it as she was going to say "Buddy and Billy are both not getting any."

It was a great interview. Of course she is good with crowds and speaking after all these years as first governess and then first lady. She has good handlers too.

I just wished Dave asker her if she thought Intel was a good investment and were we starting a bear market!

Kirk, forget Intel advice. I wish Dave had asked her whether to go long or short live cattle futures. That's her expertise, you know.

After reading the Paula Jones affidavit (you can find it at www.vastconspiracy.com) I can understand why Bill's not getting any. I think we should change the name from the executive branch to the executive twig.

Letterman

Dan, Yes, cattle futures would have been the proper question. "Hilary, what are the odds of making 1000 times your money in cattle futures?"

Just heard on the news that he had a quintuple heart bypass. I guess those tall, skinny folks don't fight the weight problem so they don't pay attention to their diet. Or... is he still into cigars?

Anyway, I hope it went well and he is back on his show soon.

» thecook - Is the site being minipulated?

What happend to my link to this site? Today, 1/17/00, I can only view posts from 1/14/00 and earlier.

I was wondering if all of the investors (including me) have made their adjustments, like they say they have, I guess it's a non-event on the market??

Leave it to a NY DJ to summarize the Letterman situation.

"He had Hilary on the show and then he had a quintuple heart bypass."

These threads get too large and crash when I try to move or delete a post so I try to limit their size, especially in times of heated discussion when some posts might have to be "taken care of". IF this happens, I don't want it to tie up my system for half a day to delete an offensive post or move one to the idiots thread.
