David dna2 Gratson suggested this bank, but the formatting on his signature blasted it so I moved his post to HTML purgatory.

» dna2 - Wells Fargo to purchase FSCO

It didn't take them long to find another buyer. Priced at $15.50/share. (traded in low 11's when I posted). Not sure what effect this will have on our balloon, Wells Fargo has a number of balloons and pilots, but none in the Mesilla Valley. Hope it does not lead to many job losses here (they are the two largest banks). Pretty decent gain (for couple weeks) on the stock.

Merger

» Kirk - Banking Bear Boogied?

Anyone besides me notice that the 1 year Bear Market for Banking and Financial Services stocks seems to have just about ended as we have almost reached old highs?
<img src=http://chart.bigcharts.com/bc3/intchart/... width=430 height=218>

Amazing how fast the market moves.

Interesting to note that good stock selection (Citigroup, for example) can sometimes avoid a bear market in a sector.

Perhaps BTO is a good way to get in if you are late to the party?

Thruhiker gave a good recommendation for BTO WAY back and it seems to be giving enhanced returns as he suggested it could! Great job!

All you have to do is read this site on a regular basis and it is amazing all the little gems you get.
Thanks Thru and the others that helped highlight the buying opportunity in the Banking and Finance stocks right here!
