Mr Duck
much is speculation and interpretation of what I hear on the boards I follow to get my own information (that I might pass on here or use for my personal use).

Some traders were saying they couldn't find any shares to borrow to short. Later on, someone posted Schwab had some to lend. I was speculating that there was a squeeze as there were no shares to borrow to short at the same time the price was rocketing up.

One clue a stock is in play.... Look for 10 to 100 times the normal volume. Nearly 20M today vs a typical volume of 0.3M is a good indicator.

They also mentioned it on CNBC... Many day traders just buy any stock mentioned on CNBC according to one of the recent articles Lita posted.

One trader said it was a good stock because it acutally had earnings! 8)

BTW, I was just asked if I could be part of a print article on people that quit or retire from their jobs to become day traders! I had to say I don't day trade and am not what they are looking for.
