Chat - Etiquette, tips, times, whatever

I think the Yahoo chat boards can deal with the spammer better than the Suite 101 chat thing does. The spammer has been keeping people completely preoccupied on the weekend chats; while that might be a fun sport for some, it's not for me.Today I set up a public chat on Yahoo named "Bob Brinker Chat" under User Chats. It doesn't look like I can set up a direct URL to it. If folks are interested in trying out Yahoo this Sunday, I'll set it back up. Worst case, you should be able to send me a message as 'glenoverby' (sorry for the boring alias) and I can send back an invite that will hopefully get you there. Any takers? -- posted by _Glen » JenL_3 - It's CWS Time Again! Don't forget...<img src="http://www.geocities.com/WallStreet/Dist..."> Coffee with Slick! Would anyone like to volunteer to be the host for Foolish Chatter?…..Jen -- posted by JenL_3 » Slick - Multiple Aliases Let me say this, about that. During my days @ bb chat ( and I still enjoy that site at times ) I decided to go stealth ( for what reason I'm not sure ). And I ( Slick ) had developed an internet personna and a raport with a number of different users. Then , decided , an alias would be fun and logged in as Spud or Schmenge. What I found, was an inablitity to hide that personna, and a substancial amount of guilt associated with it. And the net effect , was to lose forever, perhaps , those individuals who I had cherished as pals. All this ( I'm assuming) because of " sport ". Now I'm not going to tell anyone , how to conduct their affairs. All I can do is relate one man's experiences. For what it's worth. Good well phased questions and follow up about Bonds. Pete also got thru with great questions about AOL and MSFT, what a great group we have at 101. I think we all were on in the span of an hour or so. Hope this show is on archives. Gene and Pete actually called "from the chatroom". Your calls were all courteous to BB and your questions were well thought out...Pretty amazing for being so impromptu. And Pete even told BB that he was listening to MoneyTalk from a chatroom on the internet at Suite 101.com. I agree Steve - What a great group we have here!Pete - hope you will come and join in the discussion here also....Jen -- posted by JenL_3 » JenL_3 - Come Join in the Fun...... <img src="http://www.geocities.com/WallStreet/Dist...
