» DanG_6 - Super TA Website

Don't know if it has been mentioned anywhere before, but I ran across a super site today for anyone interested in technical analysis. It has tutorials, definitions, and daily updated charts showing Advance-Decline Line (very, very, scary!), etc. Well worth a look. I can see where I will be spending the better part of my day tomorrow (after I get those last few tax returns out the door!). The URL is as follows:

» DanG_6 - Need for a "Systems" Thread?

Since much of this thread is about systems and their development, which is a very specialized area of TA, it might be appropriate to give "Systems" its very own thread. How about it, Tony? Kirk? et al?

Please put all "systems" discussion over there.
Thanks

» TONYBRIG - Bowg stochastics

These seem pretty good to me just from my limited
knowledge. Not that the volume keeps increasing
tho but probably not a criteria.
I like the higher highs and higher lows and closing near the highs indicators.
How'ya see it Dan?

» TONYBRIG - Jerry Favors

Dan

Do you STATS on this guy.
Claims big sell off coming.
Was on CNBC today uses charts like MAD.
Claims 4/7 1200 downs on Dow spells trouble.
Today was the first. So according to him if 3
more then correction time.
Suspect the WAR junk had a big impact on todays
MARKET.
Me thinks it held beautifully considering this.

» DanG_6 - Jerry Favors--Phttttt!

Tony, Jerry Favors is a standard joke over on that "other" Brinker thread. Go and do a search on 'Jerry' and 'Favors' and you will see a history of this guy's inanities every Friday afternoon. I remember seeing him years ago on the old FNN or some such channel, and he was an idiot then, too. I don't have cable TV, so I don't have the "pleasure" of being entertained by Jerry and his flip charts anymore, but I hear he's still as hilarious as ever! Don't be sucked in by these television gurus. They are generally charletons. Invest $59 in a subscription to Hulbert Financial Digest (the "Consumers Reports" of stock market advisors) and see how many of these mouthy gurus outperform the market. It's an eyopener for sure.

» TONYBRIG - Nah I dont act on any of them at all

Just thought I would confirm it with you since
I know you track them.
Why does CNBC keep using him?

Barrons usually gives good STATS too.
Do you agree with that?
I mean seem most reliable in what they report.
