» Kirk - How To Sell Coins? .Posted with permission: Kirk, don't know if you can help me but I bought silver coins back in 1987 about 1250 oz. I have been paying to store it in a box at my bank. It has been down for many years so I forgot about it. I notice that silver is going up so I would like to sell it. Problem is I don't know where and how to sell it. I know that this is not your ordinary field but would you have any suggestions. -- posted by Kirk » Kirk - Get Books to check Value before you sell .<img align=left src=http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0794817874.01._PE10_SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg> The Official Bluebook Handbook of United States Coins: With Premium List (Handbook of United States Coins) by R. In response to Get Books to check Value before you sell posted by Kirk:You may wish to check out this web site to get a rough idea of what your silver is worth. It is a commercial outfit that buys and sells coins, bullion, etc. I picked this site because it shows BOTH buy and sell prices (and there is quite a spread), other sites usually only show what they will SELL for. When you get to the site scroll down until you see the buy/sell tables. http://www.golddealer.com/bullionpage.ht... It depends what kind of "coins" you have and whether they are numismatic, generic silver rounds, or US mint issues. If they are pre-1965 US silver coinage buy/sell prices by face value and troy ounces are also listed. I hope this helps get you started. Phil S. -- posted by pjstack » mitelo - Re: How To Sell Coins?
