Not to mention the fact that human decency and proper behaviour says: buy the newsletter if you want the info. Otherwise, you're just trying to steal it.

Gabbai770 said about Brinker "...human decency and proper behaviour says: buy the newsletter if you want the info. Otherwise, you're just trying to steal it."
Well, Mr. Sanctimonious, where was Brinker's human decency and proper behaviour when he left thousands of us hanging with his QQQ trade and no exit strategy? I figure that Brinker owes me 1351 years of his newsletter to recoup what I lost because of his arrogance and lack of human decency on that trade. He hurt the retirement of many many people like me very badly.
So don't lecture us about proper behaviour and human decency!

Stealing requires something of value to be at risk.

After 1351 years of THE MARKETIMER for free you would still be just where you were in 2005.

» Jeremy77 - Brinker's newsletter income

I'm not the smartest person in the world but if I was making millions of $ ea. year sending out a newsletter, I wouldn't be taking any risk with my $. ( Tax free bonds, laddered CD's, or treasuries for some examples). Brinker may be doing the same thing.

Kirk are you suggesting purchase of GNMA now-at the current prices?

QQQ originally advised as a short term play. Short term means more risk. Stick with Brinker's long term advice. Save some $ by going in with other people on newsletter. Active/Passive portfolio keeps it simple. (One person's opinion).

» jamesj24 - I luckily didn't follow his short time QQQ; and market directio

In response to Re: Re: Re: Re: " I luckily didn't follow his short time QQQ ad posted by JIMMY62:

Yeehaw!!!! What a nice rally we had last Friday. I think the point is well taken that this market has a strong bullish current, nothwithstanding all the reasons it should not. My bullish short put positions are showing excellent gains.

I guess you missed the point of my post. There was no word of the 1160 buy signal on this site. I only found out about it after the fact from Bobby on the air. AFTER THE FACT is apparently his not-so-new way of punishing those who don't pay him subscriptions to his newsletter.

Indeed, I recall that, even after he had given the buy 3/11 signal on the air, he consistently discouraged people from buying after the initial run up of about 10%. Now, if he was predicting an increase of 20% or more over the near term(which his buy signal, by definition, does predict), how is it that he would honestly discourage people from buying after a 10% runup? I'm quite sure he was just trying to punish those who didn't subscribe, and it kept me from buying in, though in retrospect, I now see how fooled I was by his strategy.

His intellectual dishonesty is the reason why his on-the-air recommendations are totally unreliable. He's downright dishonest, giving 99% of them after it's obviously too late to take advantage of them.

As far as my being too cheap to subscribe, or allegedely violating the copyright laws, I appreciate all the kind replies that affirm my right to do so, and I'll stand by them. I'd return your comments by suggesting you're a free thought Nazi.

Go ahead and throw your money away all you wish, but you have no right to impose your values on me. Rather, I'd appreciate your keeping your political correctness, which is really just form of repression of original thought, to yourself.

Mao tried that and failed.

I should clarify that my comments in my last post (re: being a PC Nazi) were intended as a response to Post # 618 by MONEYMAN02 RE: HEY BIG SPENDER!!..., not to JIMMY62.

Sorry for not being more clear about that.

The 1160 buy signal was mentioned here. As was the previous buy signal that was lower. It's all here. No need to look further.
