This archived discussion is "read only". « Previous 95 96 97 98 99 100 101 102 103 104 105 106 107 108 109 Next » » allancoleman - Re: civil tone In response to Re: civil tone posted by gabbai:hello gabbai , dija fought with Kirk all the time and made the mistake of offering to not post here anymore if Kirk requested . so Kirk took dija up on his offer and asked dija not to post here anymore . i liked dija . at one time the ' cat lady ' accused me and dija of being one and the same person . but then , the cat lady has also accused me of being bob brinker , bob brinker jr. , and others at times . and in the past , she used to run alot of new posters off this forum if they were too complimentary of bob brinker . but thankfully with her own 'blog ' where she can post as she likes , it's much more civil here and both sides can get their ideas accross without the paranoia . as far as Will , i never really understood that arguement and why he left . although Will had his followers , i never cared for Will's posts . and you're right that the bob brinker forum was ' spicier ' in the past . but seems like ' iamacamera ' and yourself are bringing up ole bones so who knows , maybe the spice will return . all in all , the bob brinker forum is much like bob brinker , himself , and brings out some of the best and the worst in people . it just depends on what side of the issue you want to see . or what part of bob's advice you choose to take or ignore . certanly bob has made his mistakes , but you only have to listen to his show to hear / see all the people he has helped achieve critical mass . i never totally followed bob advice so didn't fall into the ' Q ' pit and have only made use of his long term market calls . i still think bob adds value and get my wife a subscription cause she likes him more than i do . -- posted by allancoleman » allancoleman - Re: civil tone In response to Re: Re: civil tone posted by AL_W:wow , AL_W . never did understand why some , dija included , wanted to spend so much time on the same arguements . don't feel it's educational or productive . -- posted by allancoleman » gabbai - Re: Re: civil tone In response to Re: civil tone posted by allancoleman:One of my favorites lines from Brinker's radio show was actually from one of his substiture hosts (I don't remember his name). You "got to dance with the one who brung ya..." Brinker made the call in March 2003. I followed it (not with 100%) and then I followed two of his subsequent buying opportunity calls. Now, I'm 70% in the market. When he gives the sell signal I'll bail out. I have read that part many times, so didn't read past it. Probably others didn't either. I would agree with those as all being important. There are probably others just as important, though. The other point I would make is that none of those factors would seem able to precipitate a sell-off, unless it was maybe a rate hike that broke the camel's back. They are all diffuse with respect to time. I think there has to be some sentiment or psychological factor to initiate things. I totally agree with every word you wrote, Kirk. It's deja vu all over again. I make one or two posts about Brinker and "allancoleman" attacks ME. Obviously, he wants me off of this board--and feels that it is his personal job to see that I stay away. I don't mind the attacks so much, and the pejorative insult of calling me "cat lady," but I BITTERLY RESENT it when he LIES about me. He wrote this about me, and every word is a LIE!

Hi Gabbai, You will find some of Will's writings (some are even addressed to Dija) over at my Brinker-Beehive. I have permission from Will to archive a lot of his most informative writings there so that they will be in one place and less likely to be lost. It's interesting to note that many who do not agree with everything Will writes still enjoy reading him because he is an talented writer--and as you said, can be very "spicy." -- posted by honeyoneohone » dukeandduke - Did anything happen ont he show Saturday? I had one post with who I thought are good sources for financial information and was told to keep the dicussion about the show which I did only to see numerous posts of bickering and Bob bashing.At least my post was productive. Some people hate Bob, some like him. We get it. Please keep the thread about what is discussed on Bob's show so this is a worthwhile place to come to. I am going to try to listen today and will report back if anything interesting happened. If something interesting happened yesterday please reply.
