And I also love the imagery!

Like trees, we can become top-heavy, filled with too much intellectual knowledge and not developing good root systems in silent deeds, reaching out to the other members of our society. Without a strong root system, a bank caves, washing away under a strong rain. Society collapses into chaos when strong roots are not established, incorporating each person into the community of mankind.

What a true statement! Thank you for sharing this wonderful article with us.

thasnk-you for the compliment, although I don't think that I merit it... I just happened to fall over very good commentary from knowledgeable and articulate rabbis-- check the links for more information and better reading.

just here to wave directions to others far more educated than myself.
