I enjoyed your article, and agree with your observation that fear holds many people back from using the Internet for discussion of "religion." I think it is a mixture of some people not being secure enough in their own beliefs....and some others who are so adamant that their own beliefs are the only "true" beliefs.

Somehow, we must all learn to respect the honestly-held beliefs of other people and acknowledge that this respect does not in any way negate or belittle our own spiritual paths.

We can honor our diversity while celebrating our commonalities.

Thanks Carolyne for your comments and thoughts. Have you seen this in Native American religions as well? Perhaps you can point some of our readers here to some of your articles on Native American religion or religious beliefs, if you have any. =)
