» mykidzmom - Good article!

Thank you! smile

I'm doing ipt, I'm actually doing it!! lol I had my doubts sometimes, but when I felt discouraged, I read about the experiences of moms who were doing it and it encouraged me to keep on trying! I began trying harder, and it finally just "clicked" when my baby was three months old. And your book really, really helped. It's an awesome book.

My husband doesn't do it much at all (and I find it harder to do when he is homesad), but he really encourages me and tells me how great he thinks it is that I am doing it. And my mom is supportive of it smile (she says her mom told her that my mom and her siblings were potty trained by age one). I haven't told many more people in real life than that.

We are doing really well at doing ipt when we are at home, but not so good when we go places. She is four months old now. I feel that ipt is very respectful of my baby and it really helps me to be in tune with her. . . I really have to pay attention to her and be sensitive and responsive to her needs. I find that it goes so well with demand feeding (which is based on reading your baby's cues).

I hope to write an article about our experience with ipt by the end of the month. I'll let you know when it's up. smile

Hi Jeri,

Did you ever write and post that article? Let me know. If possible, email me about this--and let me know how IPT is going now that your baby is 6 months old.

Laurie
