Mrinal,Had to laugh when I read your opening line (Who is Sasthi Brata?) because that's exactly what I was thinking when I clicked open your article, which, by the way, is terrific. The writing life has so many attractions and just as many anxieties. It's such a painful battle to publication; the battle to hang in there seems no less difficult.

Hi Mr. Bose,Thanks for that bit on Sasthi Brata. In fact, i just happened to read MGDY and my reaction was no different than yours. But his plight as you wrote definitely saddened me. He seemed to be a budding genius.
