Yes I basically agree that attacking an impoverished nation already battered by several ills is not the answer...but a growing majority now feel that American policy is lopsided and don't you think under such circumstances all those who feel so must take this opportunity and tell America where to get off...When a country has the kind of arrogance to assume and project that terrorism of the kind that occurred on 11 Sep has never happened before it needs to be told that there are PEOPLE living everywhere and a single act of terrorism in any country affecting however many people has to be given the same attention and condemnation and mobilization of unity that they as self proclaimed freedom upholders are demanding of others. And since it has not been done then perhaps what Russia is doing is the best...your country was attacked, man, you solve your problem...we have other more essential things to think about.

Dear Sujata, It is true that the magnitude and intensity of that inhumane cruelty was unheard of. My argument is that attacking a crippled Afghanistan will drive public opinion against America gradually. When the magnitude of the human tragedy is telecast live, when hungry, impoverished people are shown in Pakistani refugee camps, sympathy will move with them. This kind of terrorism has to be dealt with extreme care and caution. Already the United Nation has warned of human suffering in Afghanistan due to lack of food and draught.
