I agree with you and believe Pro Sport generally has priced young people out of the parks and arenas.

We are creating a generation of sports spectators who will consider pro sports at the NHL level to be TV events only. To them NHL will be as distant as a movie. If the NHL does not find affordable ways to get youth into the arenas the ‘going to the game’ habit will be broken. If this happens the attendance will fall and may never come back. The short sightedness of “give me the money now and to hell with the future of the game and/or the young fans” will forever change the game we have grown up with.

You should send a copy of your article to the hockey powers so they can start to understand the attitude youth has to what is going.
