They're Back!
This archived discussion is "read only".
» Renie_Burghardt - Hi Judy! Hi Judy! What a lovely article. Well, my little hummers aren't back yet, but I'm expecting them any day and got the feeders ready. But this is about the time of year they show up in Southern Missouri, so it won't be long now.Hey, I love animals, too. Have 4 cats, 3 dogs, 2 ringed-neck doves, 16 Silkie chickens and 2 ducks. And I used to have a lot more, but have finally pared down some. You can see my Silkies in my newest article, so I hope you visit sometime. Loved your article, and I'll be back again! -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » amy_larkin - Ready for them Hi JudyGreat article. I too am so ready to see hummingbirds in my backyard. I'm getting it ready with flowers and while I've seen butterflies, no hummingbirds just yet. But I'm sure they will show. Great pic too of the bluebonnets. I really enjoy seeing the wildflowers in Texas. It's definitely spring!! -- posted by amy_larkin » Naomi_Mathews - Hi, Judy! Your hummers are really early! Lucky you! I've not seen a one yet, but then ours have a lot farther to migrate back, right? And I'm sure their tiny wings are hurrying as fast as they can!Great article, Judy -- and I loved the photo of the field of bluebonnets! They are just beautiful. Their color draws many a hummer, I'm sure. I just put out my feeder this past weekend, later than I usually do. I'll let you know when I see my first one. This year I hung it right under my wisteria canopy, and they do love those blossoms too. So keep your fingers crossed for me, okay? -- posted by Naomi_Mathews
