» bunabayashi - Welcome!

Great topic and a great start! I just wanted to share a wonderful book I read recently. It's titled, 'A Hummingbird In My House', by Arnette Heidcamp. It's about a juvenile Ruby-throated that overwinters inside the author's attached greenhouse one winter. Delightful, well written, and the photography is superb. Along the way basic hummingbird physiology is discussed in an entertaining manner. Well worth looking for!

Hi David!

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, I did read that book! Actually, the lady that wrote it used to have it as an article on her page and I read it then! How very fascinating! I should be so lucky! *S*

My next article is about that very subject. Whether or not to leave feeders out during winter! Sure is a tough decision! The article is scheduled to come out Sept. 1st since it will be about time to decide!

I really did some research on the topic!*S*

I even thought that book would make a good prize for an upcoming contest! It is a wonderful book!
