» Leghorn - vertical alignment / b- board

First off, I went through the different discussions and thought I would answer a question asked about how to get a bulletin board on your site. I found one and am using a bulletin board written in PERL called Ikonboard. You can get it at no cost and the support is great. (no I am not affiliated with them at all) You can get it at http://www.ikonboard.com. Well worth checking into. (I knew no PERL when I down loaded it and still worked my way through it..If you do decide to use it and need help, email me or post here and I will offer what help I can)

Now my problem. I manually write all my code and have gone to the new standard - XHTML. So far so good. I have all code validated by the W3C. All works fine except when I try to use the "valign" attribute to vertically align content in a table data cell. It is not valid in XHTML. According to the new standard, the "valign" attribute is not part of the standard. Any help or suggestions, please reply. I have and am ashamed to say use a sloppy way of "quick fixing" the problem which is to use alot of break tags. I am cureous to how simple the solution is going to be. It has most likely been staring me in the face, but I am missing the concept I guess :-) Well anyways, I await any replys and thank you in advance.
