Your best bet is to use regular liquid soap (dishsoap is fine) to "bathe" your ivy in the sink. Soap up your hands with some water and massage the leaves (don't forget undersides of leaves) I do this once a month to get rid of mites & to prevent new ones. You can let the plant dry with the soap on- it will not harm the plant. The soap contains potassium so it acts as a foliar leaf fertilizer. The idea of the soap is that it smothers the mites & they suffocate. Good luck!
