» sjv - Re: Propogation

i have had my corn plant for over 24 years. i have started at least 12-14 other plants from the original. i simply broke off the branch that is growing in a direction i did not want and soaked it overnight in a heavy solution of liquified seaweed. the next day i planted it in organic potting soil in a pot w/good drainage and sat in diffuse or indirect sunlight for approximately 1 month... then outside in full morning sun for a month or two...then straight back into full sun. I have never had a failure....and the mama plant is still healthy after all these yrs. hope this helps.

oh by the way - below where i broke the 'starter' off from the original, with in weeks it began to spring a new set of leaves...helping to 'right' the 'lean' they develop w/age.
good luck
