» denmanbail - I have inherited a beautiful plant that I can't identify.

I have inherited a beautiful plant that I can't identify. Its leaves are not smooth and are a little variegated, semi-heart shaped. At present, it is about 1 1/2 feet tall. It has a cluster of white blooms, each about the size of a nickle with deep pink centers, which just recently have opened. There are three long stamen that have grown out of the pink centers. Anything sound familiar to anyone?

» shusters - unusual house plant with red leaves, lavender flowers

I'm looking to identify a houseplant. the leafs are two-toned maroon and red, stem for each leaf is grows to about 6", at the end of each leaf are 3 butterfly or double triangle shaped leaves. It also flowers - they appear on their own stems. It appears to have tuberous roots and is very delicate and difficult to cultivate.?

Hi Shusters

Sounds like some kind of Shamrock to me (Oxalis species).
