I had a little daschund that died about a year ago. My cat didn't really like the dog, but she tolerated him. Well, we moved to a new country and the cat had quite a bit of trouble adjusting. It's been about 6 months now and we've adopted a new puppy. Well, the cat HATES the new puppy. The cat attacks the puppy every time she gets the chance. I don't know what to do. I can't keep the cat out of the puppy's area. The puppy wants to play with the cat, but I'm afraid that the cat will really hurt the puppy. The cat hunts the puppy!!! She attacks when the puppy's back is turned. I've had the cat for 14 years and I'm sure she is jealous of the new animal that requires so much of our attention, but I'm worried. The puppy is a cross between a pittbull and a boxer. She's going to be much bigger than my last dog. If the cat keeps terrorizing her I'm afraid that one day I'll come home to a dead cat!!!!
