- Re: Have you spring cleaned yet?
In response to message posted by JessicaDenise: I just moved, so spring cleaning seems to be a never ending process here. Not only did I have to clean the mess the previous tenant left behind, but I also have to clean from the move itself and from day to day living. My strategy during this struggle: Do a little everyday: no matter how tired I am, if I have a spare moment I'm either cleaning something or unpacking. If I leave it to do all in one day, I'll just make myself over tired and frustrated.Do it well the first time: doing things quickly is always nice because you get it done sooner, but you also have to make sure it is done right. It is senseless to go back and do things over again if it isn't done right the first time.Employ family (!): Where is it written that this has to be a one person job? Drag family or friends into the mix and you'll achieve your goal faster. Just don't be surprised is someone asks you to return the favor!Six month rule: If I haven't used it . . . or thought of it . . . in the past six months I chuck it or sell it or whatever. This excludes sentimental things (pictures, books, etc.) and important papers, of course.Well, that's me . . . what about everyone else?
