having been there from the beginning, like when we used to glue 45's to old lp's so we could slip cue them . before 12-inches and so on . I think my definition of house music in its purest form is the music that was "created' in the clubs by mixing different types of danceble music into a progressive beat.When it was found to be commercialy viable, some big labels recruited notable d/j's to re-create this sound and it was mass marketed. This lead to what I term underground house to which I am a devotee. It was the intial creativeness that made me want to become a d/j and it is what keeps me dancing when it is good.
