» Lightning_Count - Lightning Thanks a lot for educating me. You might want to learn how to spell "lightning" before you impart your expertise to too many children.-- posted by Lightning_Count » DogsRule - "Lightening" - Major conceptual errors More important than the spelling error of the word lightning is the fundamental misconception introduced. Magnetism is not caused by charges. Magnets do not have + and - ends. They have North and South ends. Electric charges exist individually (electrons and protons). There are no individual magnetic units or "monopoles". This is why when a bar magnet is broken in half, two North-South magnets result. There are many reputable websites explaining these differences available. Here is but one: http://www.school-for-champions.com/scie... -- posted by DogsRule
