Cheryl,

I loved your article. Though my grandsons are too old for this book, we do learn through reading. I've taught the boys the love of books and now Brandon, 8, is reading aloud to Jordan, 5. The other day when I was visiting the boys, Jordan got out a book and was reading it to me. He stumbled along, but with a little help he got through the entire book. He is excited about being able to read. I encourage both of the boys to read all types of books. Reading is a great way to learn. I learn something out of a book or on the internet every day. Thanks for publishing this article.

Hi Mary smile Actually your grandsons might really like this book. One of my middle boys is 6 and just loves this book. Ssshhh my daughter who is 10 thinks it's really funny too. It's a fun story to read and as a mom I can sooooo relate!

I love to hear about kids getting excited about learning to read. My 6 yr old is reading pretty well and he's wearing me out wanting me to spell every single word he can come up with. After about an hour or so, I tell him to go get a book and give mommy's old brain a break. ;o)
