» jerrib - Very thorough article

I leave this to my husband and just plant the flowers I like! Very good ideas here. Happy Holidays.

» Dubh_Sidhe - needed

I really need this topic. I regularly watch "Curb Appeal" on HGTV, but have not really seen a solution to my problem.

I have a wide entry walk to one of my house's steps. There is nothing on either side of the walk except grass, which makes it look even wider! The walk runs from the curb to the steps. I need to put something appealing on either side. Any suggestions?

I think you may tire of my coming here. LOL!

It seems to me that you live in South Carolina...can you tell me in what city so we have an idea of what might grow in your area?? How wide is your entry way? How long? In what direction does the walk face? Does the walk end at a porch / deck / stairs into a foyer? Hey, I'd be glad to help with some ideas, but the answer might not be very quick in coming especially since I'm now immersed in my grandson, in N.C., until next week :+) BTW, I probably don't watch HGTV as often as I should to see what others have to say. I might get as tired of your visits as you will of mine to your site. I looked through some of the Mary garden links this AM while the "kid" was napping.

I live in Greenville, South Carolina. The walk is cement and about 6' wide and 10'long. It faces North. It runs from the curb to the steps which lead up to a wrap-around porch.

Great! Thanks for the information...look for an answer in about two weeks, maybe less.
Do you have any personal plant preferences: low-maintenance evergreens; flowering plants, etc. Tell me what you like or envision in your imagination.
