It's just another example of how much human welfare is intertwined with that of animals. Helping one always helps the other. Thanks for stopping by, Joy. -- posted by SWALKER0 » Renie_Burghardt - Re: Re: The link In response to message posted by SWALKER0:Hi Sherrie, and that is so true. I actually had a friend who'se husband used to throw her against the wall, and he did the same thing with the cat. She was afraid to leave. One day, I told her I would take the cat if she would seek safety, and she did. A few months later, she had a job and a small apartment, and took the cat back. This kind of thing happens much too often, and I'm glad that you are making people more aware of it. Also glad that more and more is being done to help these unfortunate human and animal victims. Great article, Sherrie. Thank you. So glad you are still here at the Suite! So many women don't have anyone to turn to, and many of the organizations that can help them can't help their pets. I hope more animal rescue organizations will partner with family shelters to address this problem. -- posted by SWALKER0 » emoondance - Why can't I find a list? I have been searching and searching, and I can't find a list of safe haven's for people who are victims of abuse, that have pets. Please send me a list I have to give a speech on Wednesday. Thanks Elizabeth Marie -- posted by emoondance
