HELP!!!!Searching for a movie but can't remember the name of it

» daydreamertls - classic old black and white movie about 3 or 4 housewife/friends I have been searching and searching. I am looking for a movie but all I can remember is: It's about this "letter" that these 3 or 4 friends get from one of their husbands, none of them knows which husband it is and none will find out till the end of the day.But The husband that wrote the letter has fallen in love with another woman and will NOT be coming home that evening. All the women are suppose to be going ( it seems taking children on a field trip on a boat ride, like a ferry boat, but I can't remember the details of that exactly) anyways after the boat ride they all return home and thats when you find out later in the movie which one of the husbands it is that has left his wife for another woman. Can anyone out there remember this movie or the title or even any of the actors or actress' in it, I can't even remember that part of it. Please email any details . Its extremely funny in the movie and i have to know what film its from, Please please please someone help me!!!! -- posted by louisessqueezes » ellesta - help me remember a film I saw this movie ages ago, and probably on TV.the movie was about this young woman who was quite daggy and didn't seem to fit in with people around her. she also admired a man from afar- I think it was her boss. then one day she comes across a pair of silver sequined shoes and once she puts them on, her appearance changes into a beautiful and confident looking woman. her boss or the man that she had a crush on, hires the transformed version of the woman- and begins to fall in love with her. the movie ends with the woman throwing the shoes into a harbour, and kissing the man of her dreams. -- posted by ellesta
