We had an interesting start to our's... we had an icestorm that knocked our power out for almost 24 hours in temperatures in the teens, and we were completely snowed in and couldn't get to someplace warm. We made the best of it, bundled up in layers of clothes and blankets on the couch and chatted and waited If you live someplace where it gets cold in the winter, get prepared for outages like this - we NEVER have anything like this happen - our last icestorm was in 1998, and it's never this cold at this time of year - it's going to be a doozy this year, I think. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday, and I'll see y'all on Monday or so Love & Hugs, -- posted by mastiffs2005 » Rosee - Re: Happy Holidays! In response to Re: Happy Holidays! posted by Rosee:Once every several years those states from Illinois to about Buffalo, N.Y., get some real bad snow storms. Ice storms are famous about January 1 all across the "snow belt" of the Mid West. Luckily most of Michigan is usually spared the really bad storms; but, who knows ... This could be the year for deep snow. Yup, Dar and everyone else who reads this, we're wishin' y'all a very Merry Christmas. -- posted by Pinky102
