» biogardener - Hiding

Are you hiding from me, Dar? How come you are not in the Birthday Club? If you had been, I would have sent out a notice to all the BD Club members along with all the other November birthdays.

So which day is your birthday? Are you letting Dave spoil you on that day? I hope so. See if you can spend one single day not working.

Tamara, I'm on the cusp - half Scorpio, half Sag.... reckon that explains the multiple personalities, eh? hehehe smile

Traute, my birthday is today, the 23rd... don't know how I've slipped by the birthday club all these years smile No, I've not managed to not spend the day working... you didn't really expect that? smile

And yes, Sara, I got the card! Loved the pink panther feel to it!!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone!!! It's been a really great one so far! smile

Love & Hugs,
Dar

Well, I missed wishing Sylvia a Happy Birthday.

So, I'm wishing both Sylvia and Darlene the best for ever. One on time and one belated.

» Dan_Ellsworth - Your birth date in (my) history

40 years ago, I was in my senior year at college, my first engagement was in the past, and . . . I had VOTED, back when the age requirement was 21.

But I had not taken an alcoholic beverage -- but that's another story.

I'd like to give you some advice about being 40.

Let's see . . .

Maybe . . .

Oh, never mind. I can't remember it.

I've seen the picture of you and Dave. You both look pretty good.

Well, have a happy birthday evening, and a satisfying and explorational (Is that a word?) year.

Thanks, guys!! Phil, thanks for letting me know that Sylvia had a birthday, too - and Happy Birthday right back at ya, Sylvia smile

Bob, the party never ends over here smile

Dan? No advice about being 40??? smile I sure need some LOL I only have 1 friend who is older than me, and last time I saw him, I scolded, "You could've warned me about this 40 thing!" He just laughed and said, "I tried, I tried!" I don't remember him trying, but that was in my "younger" years, and I didn't listen so well "back then." hehehe

Explorational... if it ain't a word, it should be smile And sounds like exactly the type of year I'd like to have, too!

Dave's out fishing this morning, and I slept in a bit. I haven't given up coffee in my "old age," so I'm working on my first pot smile I get to bake all day for Thanksgiving, which is always a treat for my birthday... I'll leave some extra pumpkin and pecan pies here on the table just in case y'all need a treat, too smile

Love & Hugs,
Dar

Going where angels fear to trod.

Advice for those who've finally made it to 40 after such a long wait:

Go with it. These next ten years will be the very best of your entire life.

Let it be. And, click on this link. Go ahead and sing the Karaoke. What a wonderful time of life. How fortunate you are to have made it to the peak of the mountain. The forties--make them memorable. You'll never be sorry.

rofl Traute - I have no idea what kind of advice I need - that's what scares me smile

Phil, it certainly seems like I'm in that timeframe where these should be the best years of my life! I've got kind of an expectant thing going on... what will happen next? smile

AAahhhhh I just saw the title of the song in the url, and I'm singing already! Off to listen to the music and play it really loud and wake Dave up hehehe We're supposed to be at his mother's in 2 hours, and he's snoring away smile

Y'all have a great one!
Love & Hugs,
Dar
