» Renie_Burghardt - Advent Hi Charlotte, Advent was always observed in Hungary, when I was a little girl. We had many rituals, which included the Advent calendar, the lighting of candles, baking buns for St Lucia Day, St. Nichola's Day, etc. Advent observances leading up to Christmas, made the holiday so much more meaningful.I'm glad your daughter and grandson are doing so well now.
