Wendell,

I'm glad that you learned about the supposed hauntings at the White House. What is your view of spirits and hauntings? Nice to see you here, as always.

Mary

Wendell,

I do as well, but I know that many Christians around the world feel they are not. Thanks for your opinion. I appreciate it. smile

Obviously, they are not aware of, or have forgotten, Ephesians 6:12... I do not believe the hauntings are as portrayed in certain circles, such as, the people themselves walking around. However, spirits are very real indeed and I can see why the White House would have more activity than most places.. for the obvious reasons... Just my thoughts..smile...

» topazpanther - haunted White House

Hi Mary,

Excellent article!

Yes, the White House is haunted. I had not read about the black cat. I also write for Suite101. Topic is Paranormal Realm in the Society and Culture Community. Other ghosts who haunt 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue are those of Andrew JacksDolleylley Madison and David Burns. Burns donated the land the White House is built on. Lincoln's ghost is the one most frequently encountered. His ghost has been seen at a fort that was used during the Civil War.

Many historical places including Ellis Island and Alcatraz are haunted.

I have no doubt that ghosts exist, but exactly what they really are is theoretical.

Wendell,

I appreciate your kind remarks on my writing. I will also miss you and your comments. Yes, the kids were awesome and my grandsons are particularly going to miss the Suite.

Wendell, I doubt I will be applying. Though I can write well, I have no knowledge of resumes. In my day, you went to a place, filled in an application and was either hired or not. So I have no future here at the Suite. The one thing that burns my butt is that we worked for all these years and then when the money was there, they dumped us like hot potatoes.

Ohh.. don't say that Redsmile.. Making a resume is an easy thing.. Its just a fancy cover letter explaining how excellent you are, and your exeprience... Heck, your experience from the Suite is enough.... Maybe check out a few sample resumes and get some ideas.. I encourage you not to let this bother you..

The one thing that burns my butt is that we worked for all these years and then when the money was there, they dumped us like hot potatoes.

yes.. very corporate... so, fight back, and defend yourself... I believe you are a shoe-in for this topic, so... start gathering your thoughts, and hope to see you again in December, with this topic...

If however, your feelings are too hurt from these experiences, then, I cannot blame you at all....

Either way, I think you've done an excellent job here... and after all, isn't it what "we" think that matters... yes it issmile....

if you do decide to leave, maybe leave us a link where we can find your writings and such.. I made a discussion board and several have stopped by... Maybe you too might stop by and make a post or 2... I made it as a way to keep a central place where folks could wander by and leave links and such.. even a hello maybesmile...

Hi Mary! I am running on fumes right now, but wanted to stop by and tell you what a pleasure it has been knowing you all of these years, and we do go back, huh? I want to thank you for the lovely graphics you have so faithfully sent to me over time. They have been a source of beauty, inspiration and love - as have you. You have worked hard on KK and for the short time I wrote for you at KK, it was a pleasure. You know my best wishes and love are coming to you and go with you whatever you may do, or where ever you may go. Well kiddo - what else is there to say? Bye, bye and God give you health and safety. Love and hugs from South Carolina. virginia
