» kcruver - toothpaste

It seems like urine used to be used for quite a few things. Do ya' think we're abandoning an important natural resource? I guess I don't really want to know what's in my toothpaste. As a city dweller in 2001, I'm assuming that I unknowingly ingest/inhale all sorts of awful things all the time. I think I'm better off not knowing everything. Great essay as usual!

» AnneWatkins - Good heavens....

it's a wonder anybody even had teeth, if that's what they had to clean them with! hehe! I read somewhere that some cultures would chew on twigs from a certain kind of bush to clean their teeth. Can't remember what it was, though.

Thanks, Sharon, for another entertaining, informative article!

» Scribe4u - EEEEWWWWWWWWWW

Sometimes there is just certain information could do without - just kidding, sort of. I suppose all things being relative, hare's head and mice might be preferable to wooden teeth - nah!

Thanks, Sharon, interesting and fun as always.

» Lynda04 - Oh no - are we poisoning ourselves??

I love this sort of information, I am curious by nature, of course we all know what curiosity did!

Great read by the way.

» jerrib - Food for thought!

I know if we knew the ingredients of lots of things we would never put them in our mouth, like peanut butter and jam sandwiches (they are allowed a certain amount of bugs in them when processed!).

Ewww, what a gross (and yet enlightening) article. Thanks for making me grateful for good old Crest!
