I have never had a problem with incense, even when it is so thick that I couldn't find the altar rail. It never bothered my singing even when all other choir members were complaining. When you take one single poisonous ingredient, though, and concentrate 10 years' supply into one single burning, that is when I got sick.

The woman was only renting the basement of the church for $25 a Saturday evening, but she had a key to the church and took it over, appearing any time of the week, using the sanctuary as well, and spreading herself out in the choir loft. I let the church know that as long as they let her get away with it, I would not be showing up to play the organ on Sunday morning. Needless to say, she is no longer renting from us.
