I really enjoyed the article and can tell you that I do like my lavendar that is growing in my yard. I finally found that the best for Houston's hot humid climate is the L. dentata but I also have some of the stoechas (I believe) which is doing pretty well. The others do suffer greatly in our harsh summers.-- posted by WilliamG
