This is a fabulous article! I've always loved the lore surrounding the Hope diamond, but wow! You introduced so many new details. First, I didn't realize it had gone back that far and was over 100 carats. Can't wait to read about opals. Great article.

Thanks Marie! It always amazes me how much more there is to these historical myths - in fact, to history in general - than we're taught in school or told in the media. It's always certain aspects that stand out, but never the whole story.
