» Zora - Master P, King of Hip Hop???

Steve,

In response to a comment concerning the greatest rap albums of all time, one reader suggested that Master P (in their opinion) is a Rap King.
In MY opinion longevity is the deciding factor when it comes to the Queen or King of music, literature, dance....blah, blah, blah.
Master P has built an empire, I'll admit. Like Snoop said, he made the whole world say UHHHHHH.
Empires have been built and empires have fallen.. MC Hammer??? lol
LL Cool J, how long has he been in the game rocking the bells? Longevity, Steve, baby.
Ice Cube, now that Negro is a Rap King. He went solo and still held his own.
Chuck D and P.E. They just put out another album. They tour. They've been overshadowed by the glitzy furs, cash and weird camera effects but they are still around....brotha's just trying to work it out.
Calling Master P a Rap King is like calling Mary j Blidge the Queen of Soul. Everyone knows that Aretha Franklin has put out more albums, has more experience singing and can draw a larger crowd.
Well, I'm off my soapbox. I'll be checking you out again. I ran upon you by searching for other African American suites. I write articles at the new African American Literature and Poetry suite. I'm under Books and Writing. Come check me out!

Bye,

Tracy Roberts
