» Carol Wallace - Funny you should mention weddings

I guess I didn't know any better 17 years ago, because I decorated the table at my wedding with Queen Anne's Lace and wild sweet peas I found growing in the ditch out front, and inside had a gigantic brass cuspidor filled with orange "ditch lilies." I would have enjoyed the picking more if a gigantic black snake hadn't slithered out of the grass while I was doing it, though. ;-)

» Carol Wallace - Well -

My wedding bouquet was done by a florist - and beside the flowers I picked and arranged myself it looked stiff and unnatural.

The Queen Anne's Lace shed all over - but later I learned that if you spray it with hairspray - the old lacquer kind like AquaNet - they hold up very nicely.

» emilylevitt - Qeen Anne's lace

keeps well with Floralife, and a product called Transpire...or hair spray. Has any luck with maypops?

» Carol Wallace - I have one

sort of - It's not like the one you show here, but it's the only one hardy enough to grow in my zone. And it hasn't grown very large - maybe because it's in total shade. ;-)
