Yes, I am considering Leicester Longwools, but they are so rare that building a flock appears to be a very daunting (and expensive) proposition. I've found a possible ram, but ewes are hard to get. I've yet to find a ewe for sale. Most people seem to keep their ewes and sell only excess rams. Perhaps I've picked too rare a breed! Time will tell whether I am able to get them, both in terms of scarcity and available money.

I've met two people in the last year who raise Cotswolds, which are a little easier to get than Leicester's but still pretty rare. Both built their herds when an elderly owner's illness forced a sale. I hope you don't have to wait for those circumstances, and I certainly wouldn't wish anyone ill. It wouldn't hurt to stay in touch with any breeders you meet while you're searching.
