» Renie_Burghardt - Yarrow! Hi Ellen,Another wild herb that grows everywhere on my property, so I'm glad to read all the great information in your article. I read that yarrow is great as a border in the vegetable garden, as it repels ants, flies and Japanese beetles, and attracts all sorts of beneficial insects. I have also read that the root of the yarrow has been used as an anesthetic, in the past. Of course, they steeped it in whiskey, which may have helped. But I also read that the fresh root applied to gums or teeth does a good job of relieving a toothache. Another very informative article I enjoyed reading!
