» CrabApple - Freinds do help Robert,That was a great article, I agree with everything you said. I have been diagnosed with an Acoustic neuroma, I was terrified at first, and did lots of research on the Internet, I found lots of information which has helped me make the decision on what treatment I will have. The other thing I found was a wonderful support group or groups of people suffering the same disease. Some have had theirs treated, others are still trying to decide what to do, even though we cannot see each other our words do help. The other thing that has happened for me is that I found how supportive my friends are. In the past when I had a worry or something else I always kept it to myself, never telling anyone if I could help it. This time I decided to tell all my friends and family. I have a group of Artists who come to my studio to paint once a week, without these people I am sure I would be a depressed mess now, but with their positive thoughts and kind words I feel very positive about the outcome of the treatment that I am to have, and I know that if all doesn't go so well they will be there for me. Thanks, Crabapple. -- posted by CrabApple » roliva - Friends I'm glad my article was of interest to you. It really is a wonder how relationships are so important to our health. Learning what I wrote about in the article has helped me to put things in perspective. I worry less about "things" and put more of me into being a friend and father and spouse.I sure do hope that things go well for you. As you mentioned in your email, it is very important to let your emotions flow both in you and to other people. There really is something almost magical about the healing power of feelings. My best wishes, Bob -- posted by roliva
