Other than that it was better for me than the many types of pills I'd tried.I've decided to go off the patch so that I can try to have a baby. This is my first "real" week off. (Last week was the usual off week for my period.) I have been trying to find information online about withdrawal symptoms, but haven't been able to find anything. Has anyone had trouble with headaches/slight depression as a result of going off the patch? I followed the Sunday start which was about 6 days after I started my period. Anyway, my husband and I had sex on the 7th day of my first week of the patch. I am nervous about being pregnant because this week I have started feeling sick. I know that is one of the side effects. I just came off the patch two and a half weeks ago and i'm feeling a little off, and I was hoping I could find a reason to why and to know if it was normal and how likely am I to become pregnant if we didn't pull out the week I took the patch off... I took my last patch off May 29, 2005 and have not felt right since. I also have not had my period (other than the one right after I took it off..."week 4"). Over the past week or so I have started feeling kind of sick to my stomach, but am not pregnant (I took a pregnancy test). I'm wondering if this is a withdrawal symptom and why it is just now beginning. Let me know if you find any information on withdrawal symptoms for OrthoEvra. Thanks!

I have had two sucessful pregnancies in the past. I have gotten my period since Dec. '04, only once in July '05, and that was due to medication inducing my menstrual cycle. I'm having the exact opposite problem! I quit using the patch in Aug 2004, to try to conceive in the next year or two. Well, my periods started coming back in January 2005. Febuary I cramped pretty bad, skipped March altogether. Now, since April, I have been bleeding non stop... very heavy with lots of blood clots. If you want to count down to the weeks, I've been bleeding for 19 weeks, with only 2 seperate weeks not bleeding.I have an appointment next week to make sure that it is just the patch getting out of my system, and not something more serious. I think they need to just take the patch and Depo Provera off the market completely. I have been hearing nothing good about either, plus the troubles they both have caused me personally. My cycle came once, because my doctor put me on provera. (medicine that forces you to have a cycle) My cycle did come on for the month only, but I haven't gotten it since then. The patch really did mess my body up. I wish I never used it. I used to have the IUD. I never really had any symtoms with that. I am strongly considering using the IUD again, once I get pregnant and have the baby. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow at Walter Reed Medical Center (located in Washington, DC), with the Infertility clinic. Hopefully everything will work out. I've been pregnant twice before and had regular cycles, so I know I can get pregnant. The health dept tried to talk me into an IUD, but my mom had one, and developed PID and ended up with a hysterectomy. Nope, not me, No how.Good luck to you, hope everything works out! Usually people rage about how easy the patch is and so simple to have to only remember once a week. My first two children I had out of marriage when I was young. Now I have gotten it together and got married, have it all set and ready to have more kids, and I have been having these problems since the patch! My menstrual cycle was brought on last month by Provera as well. I have been on clomid since March '05, and am now, (after 4 months of nothing), am up to 150mg. I am now waiting to get my period again, which I was told I should have gotten already. (I have to call the doc if I don't get it by this Fri., and we will go from there.) Although the patch is very easy to use and seems to be such a convenience, I agree that the effects are not enough to validate it's existence!
