Well it has been about 4 weeks since I have been trying to get a hold of my doc, and I finally got a response. I am going back on Provera to induce my period, and am going up to 150mg of clomid on day 5. If this does not work, then the next step is a specialist. I can't believe it has gotten this far. And the more and more I read & hear about stories where women have had trouble conceiving after the patch, I get more and more angry! What happened with your new doctor's appointment? Did he suggest going back on the pill?

» MissSkunk - I'm so Paranoroid about the Patch...

I got off of the patch over a month ago. A friend and I had been experiencing crazy headaches. My hormones were a mess. I got off of the patch in August. But this is actually how I did it. I had a period in the off patch time. Went back on it for a week then took the patch off for good when I started having serious problems again. Which brought on a second period. Which means with in one month I had two periods. Probably not the best idea to get off at that time. But I couldn't take it anymore! Now I haven't had my period so I'm a little nervous as to what's going on with my body. I've never had this problem before and I don't think I'm pregnant. Has it taken anyone else this long to have a period?

Basically what both doctors diagnosed me with is PCOS. They would like for me to take a medication called Metaformin. This medication is used for diabetics also. I am not a diabetic, but they have found that using this medication will help regulate ovulation. The biggest side effect to this medication is diaherra. Having diaherra isn't pleasant at all, especially when you work full-time. My husband thinks that I may have had a hormone inbalance before I got on the patch, but once I started using the patch it made my hormone inbalance worst. He believes the patch has more hormones in it than the pills. I think I am going to get a third opinion. I may have to prolong pregnancy for right now and start back taking birth control pills to help regulate my hormone inbalance problems. I want this to be a last alternative though.

I am sorry you have to go through all of this. Hopefully you will achieve pregnancy. I know that it isn't a good feeling going through this, buatleastst you aren't the only one.

In response to you missskunk, I have not had a period naturally, (not induced by Provera) since March '05. I know there a couple women here who have have not had it longer. I am sorry that you are having trouble, and I hope it regulates soon. You should definitely consult your doctor. msanderson_04, I am sorry too, and I do feel comfort ion all of the conversation on these postings. I hope that this new medication works for you.

Well, the medication the doctor put me on is making me have a lot of side effects. I being having slight headaches, nausea, and diaherra. I missed two days from work this week, due to this. I stop taking the medication. I am trying to call my doctor's office now to see if I can ask for another medication that is similar to the one she had original put me on.

Has your doctor ever mentioned to you about you taking infertility injections? It seems like you have been taking provera for quite a while now and you haven't had any luck with pregnancy yet.

Hi...I just found this site and I'm pretty amazed at the side effects everyone has been having. I've been on the patch for about a year and a half and just recently started having headaches and sharp pains in my temple. Has anyone else had these? Is this normal? Should I be alarmed? I also saw that a few of you were having problems concieving. While I'm not currently trying, I don't want to hurt my chances of getting pregnant. I'm seriously considering coming off the patch, but all the other birth control methods I've make me sick at my stomach. Any suggestions?

Hello. I was oDepopProverara for a year. It was the worst experience in my life. I regret it so bad. It gave me severe depression. I thought I was going teitherer kill someone or my self. I finally decided to go off of it last May 05. After that I decided that was enougbirthcontrolol for a while. I just started using the patch July 30th. I am starting to feel like crap again though. Its not nearly as bad adepopo but after reading all of this and many othewebsiteses I am thinking of just not using any method at all. Like all of you and many others everyone seems to feel like their all alone which pretty much says that doctorarentnt telling us much at least i know minisntnt and she is a women.sad I feel like a test subject and that there jusisntnt enough research obirthcontrolol to make me feel safe enough to take it. My instincts tell me iisntnt natural or safe. Only problem iiveve been in a serious relationship for almost 2 years and in love and if wasntnt then wouldntnt even be worried about it. I know dontnt want to get pregnant anytime soon so I feel like I am going to be forever lost as what to do. Thank you all for posting so that so many otherdontnt feel alone.

The exact same thing is happening to me. I had been on the patch since April '03 and stopped using it August '05. I am also two weeks late with no signs that my period is on its way. I have an appointment next week to see a nurse practitioner. I thought that Ortho Evra was similiar to birth control pills but I never had this type of problem when I stopped taking BCPs! Good luck to you!
