I have had a horrible experience using Depo-Provera! I did not know that while I was using Depo-Provera, it caused my depression to get worst, I gained weight and could not lose any weight. I experienced fatigue, moodiness, depression, weight gain. The worst part: I was in the military, a single mother of a 4 yr old. I was ultimately kicked out of the military because of my weight. I was about 160lbs and barely 5 feet tall! I was trying to lose weight in the military weight control program, I worked out and ran 3 times weekly as well as diets. I did not have a menstrual cycle for nearly 2 yrs after I stopped the Depo injections. I have not been able to get pregnant to this day and I only have one male child! I still suffer depression, fatigue, weight problems and I believe I am infertile.

» PineApple18 - NOT A FAN OF DEPO_PROVERA

I see more negative responses about this contraceptive, rightfully so. Personally, I would not advise anyone to try Depo and if you are currently using it, stop now! I don't think I will ever get over the TRAUMA this product has caused me! I was honorably discharged from the military (MY LIFE GOAL CARRER!) after serving 8 yrs because this product caused depression and weight gain/inability to lose weight! I only have one child and I do not believe I will ever get pregnant again because I used Depo-Provera. I have scar tissue from several ovarian/fallopian cysts busting which is very painful. I now have clots instead of normal periods at times. My reproductive system is scarred thanks to this product. I am trying to get a grip on my life but this is difficult. I am 35 yrs old and my life is not over but I am really sad how drastically my life changed for the worst after I started using Depo-Provera.

» patti60 - Proven 6 Dollar Money Making Method IT WORKS!!

Discussion: Business & Finance: Work at home, BBB member, get paid daily with benefits Date: November 3, 2005 3:48 PM Subject: THE PAYPAL 6 DOLLAR MONEY-MAKING METHOD *********AS SEEN ON TV!************
I gave it a try, hey its only $6, I figured at least 6 people would respond out of the millions of people that use the internet. You should give it a try too! You have nothing to lose, and a whole lot to gain! A little while back, I was browsing through some interesting adds, just like you are now and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought, "Yeah, right, it must be a scam", but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 though paypal to each of the emails stated in the article. You then place your own email address in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200 news groups. (There are alot) So after thinking about it, I went ahead trying it. I figured what have I got to lose except $6.00 small dollars, right? Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it. It follows the same regulations as the "mailed chain letters, which according to the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161) is indeed legal! Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!? Within days, I started getting money in my paypal account! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $36,347.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's Certainly worth $6.00. Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works? REQUIREMENTS: You must have a verified paypal account. If you do not have an account you can go to www.paypal.com and get a free account. like i mentoined before In order to place the initial $6 into your account, you will have to verify your bank account with paypal (which may take a few days). STEP 1: Send, through paypal, $1.00 to each email on the below list. Make the subject of the payment "Email List" and in the comments, write "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR EMAIL LIST." What you are doing is creating a service by this and best of all you are not giving your address to anyone ... THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! The email list:
#1)peteradams931@gmail.com
#2)austy.h@gmail.com
#3) radcat_and_cheika@yahoo.com
#4) dedom18@yahoo.com
#5) csdavis05@gmail.com
#6)pmasden@hotmail.com
STEP 2: Now take the #1 email off the list that you see above, move the other addresses up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc) and add YOUR email address (the one used on the paypal account) as number 6 on the list. STEP 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups, message board. (I think there are close to 32,000 groups) All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you make - as well as everyone else on the list! For example: you log on to any search engine like yahoo.com, google.com, altavista.com, excite.com then you search with subject like ?millionaire message board? or ?money making message board? or ?employment message board? or ?money making discussions? or ?money making forum? or ?business message board? etc. You will find thousands & thousands of message boards. Click them one by one then you will find the option to post a new message. THAT'S IT!! $$$$ REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWSGROUPS AND/OR MESSAGE BOARDS YOU POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE!! BUT YOU HAVE TO POST A MINIMUM OF 200** That's it! You will begin receiving money within days! $$$ JUST MAKE SURE THE EMAIL YOU SUPPlY IS EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS ON PAYPAL. When your name is no longer on the list, you just take latest posting in the newsgroups, and send out another $6.00 to names on the list, putting your name at number 6 again. And start posting again. REMEMBER, IT IS 100% LEGAL! DON'T PASS THIS UP! $$$$$ There's no use trying to cheat for only $6.00 ***
$$ Have fun! $$

» spirtle - Re: Re: Is Depo the Cause?

First, here's my story:
Before I had my son (now 17 months), I was on the shot for 2 years. I got pregnant with him 18 months after I stopped the shot. I've taken one more shot in May of this year and in September I started bleeding for a month. I then took the birth control pill for a month to get regular. We're still trying for a second baby but there are many women out there that have been trying much longer. I've been visiting a board just for "trying to concieve" after being on the depo shot. Hopefully it will help some of you:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/bab...

It will give you help on finding out when you are ovulating and most of all help with support from other women who are in your situation.

I have found that many people state a difference in what their doctors tell them about depo. I do not think that the doctors are informed enough about this form of birth control. There seems to be such a wide range of things that happen to women on birth control.

Hope something here helps.

In response to depo posted by bellaschilly:

As long as Endo is present, you won't get pregnant. Talk to your doctor about Lupron Depot shots (once a month for 6 months) for after your surgery. That will put you through menopause and totally dry up all of the Endo that were not able to get to and cartarize (sp?) - like the back of the uterus. It sucks but it will give you the best chance of getting pregnant. It worked for me...

» kittielemieux - Sever anxiety attacks and so much more

I am in a state of shock right now, reading about all of this. I have been suffering from Severe anxiety attacks, inability to sleep, bleeding from the rectum, night chills and excessive sweating, stomach and intestinal problems, and an inability to lose weight.

My anxiety attacks have gotten so bad, I can barely function. Talking with friends and thinking back, it seemed to start when the Depot shots started. Researching if anxiety is a known side effect, I find all of these others things I have been going through are also known side effects!

At my Annual a couple of months ago, I asked my OBGyn if my bowel troubles could be a side effect and she said to talk to my GP about IBS!

Needless to say, I will not ever get another shot of this. I think I would rather live with Endo pain and constant bleeding. At least I could think straight.

» dharma127 - fda ban or lawsuit

Hello, I was just wondering if there are any ongoing processes to get the canadian gov. to ban depo or if anyone knows of a lawsuit in canada or a petition to start one please tell me. Since taking the drug for 9 months over a year and a half since I stopped I still can't have sex not only do I have no sex drive but it hurts and sometimes I bleed. I also gained over 40 lbs most of it in a ring around my stomach and I can't get rid of it no matter what I do. If anyone has found ways to manage these side effects please let me know. Thank you.
