Nichel,

Your article makes me want to read more of McKay, especially since the wounds he felt are still festering. I know this from my black friends past and present.

I have read the works of some figures of the Harlem Renaissance, but your topic certainly sheds a lot of light on this period.

Thanks for continuing to cover this subjects and the literary figures so well.

Tom Martin

I digged the article on Claude Mckay. If I'm correct didn't Mckay write a autobiography set in Harlem? I am always amazed by the skill of great poets it is something about putting words down that leave you with some much beyond the surface to think about.

Hi Tom!

Thank you so much for visiting and reading my latest poetry review. I really enjoyed Mckay's viewpoint in this poem - it made me reflect deeply.

I am so touched that you allowed yourself to understand the issues raised by Mckay due to the intense pressures during this time period. I thank you for that.

Many blessings, Tom!

Hey Walter!

It is so great to hear from a good old friend. I am glad that you stopped by to read up on my latest poetry review.

And yes, I believe Mckay did write an autobiography of Harlem - I just can't place the title. If I do, I will post it here in this thread.

Thanks for enjoying my review, Walter, I really liked it as well.

(Smile...today is a gorgeous day!)

Be Bless!

What a wonderful review, Nichel. You put your heart and soul into it. The poem, A Negro's Tragedy, is a beautifully written poem. And of course, it tells it like it is. No white man can truly ever understand. Thank you for your beautiful review.

How are you doing otherwise, Nichel? I hope good. I've been enjoying the gorgeous fall weather, while it lasts. Take care, and be well and happy! Renie
