Hi Nichel,

My, what a wonderful essay! I certainly want to find out more about these songs. Doubtless, I have heard some, but I would like to find out more. Some explication and appreciation of these songs seems like a good entry for the African-American Event or any writing.

Thanks for featuring my essay about the "chaotic collards and iquanas" a couple of months ago. That was just one of those pieces that happened.

Hope you and Malachi and rest of family are doing well. Think of you and Malachi often. That is such a beautiful name, Nichel.

Thanks for stopping by and I am glad you really enjoyed my last review of Du Bois book. I will check into finding the complete songs listed in Du Bois book. And you are so welcome in highlighting your article at the RC, I love your essays because they are so refreshing.

Malachi is doing well and getting bigger and bigger each day...he is now 31lbs with big smiles and thick McDonald cheeseburger hands...lol.

I have some more updated pictures of Malachi and soon I will send those to you.
